Hungary Missions Update - January 2020

The coming of the new year has been an exciting time for JFM's global partnership in Budapest, Hungary!

Zsuzsi Mecsèri-McNamara, one of the nationals in Hungary working with Larry and Katie Winckles, has been an integral part in the missions field by continually developing meaningful relationships within the local community. In the past nine months, she has being serving as the coordinator of the Set Free Movement in Hungary. Zsuzsi has been particularly called to the prevention of human trafficking and has had countless opportunities to serve and inform her community on why and how people become vulnerable to human trafficking. These opportunities have primarily come in the form of sharing about God's love at safe homes while being able to inform the vulnerable women and children about tactics used by perpetrators. Zsuzsi has also been able to create a relationship with a women's prison where she was able to host a Christmas service. Overall, the message was very well received and the prison has invited her back for future visits.

While Zsuzsi has been the hands and feet of God in Budapest, she would not be where she is if it were not for the prayer warriors of JFM. In the coming months, she has expressed that prayer in the following areas would be greatly appreciated:
  • For continued relationship building at the Salvation Army home where she is able to share about God's love and inform vulnerable people about human trafficking.
  • For more opportunities to visit the women's prison and to continue to share about God's redemptive heart to women that have the potential to be outstanding contributors to not only society, but to God's Kingdom.
  • Continued prayers for a balance to her life as she finishes up a degree in social education.
